Active call controls

HIT Phone calls have intuitive, descriptive controls.

Call formats

1:1 call: keypad, mute, and transfer controls.
Conference: participants list and additional organizer controls.

1:1 call controls

a. Reposition calls on screen

HIT Phone calls stay on top of other open windows so you can keep working during a call. You can drag the call window using the top bar in the call UI.

b. Calls on hold

To put a call on hold, click Hold. To resume, any other active call must be put on hold or ended, then you can resume the desired call.

c. Add participants

To turn a 1:1 call into a conference:

Click Add participant.
Choose an active user from the list or type a phone number.
Send the invite.

d. Transfer

During a 1:1 call, you can transfer the other party. The transfer menu includes:

Direct transfer: transfers immediately.
Consult transfer: puts the current call on hold and places a consult call before completing the transfer.

To transfer, select an active user or type a number and confirm.

e. Conferences

On the conference top bar, you can see:

The number of active participants
The number of ongoing invites

Hovering over invites shows them individually and lets you cancel them. Hovering over a participant lets you perform actions such as Remove from conference and Put on hold.
