Installation on the phone

After download

Open the HIT Phone app.
When Permission required (exact alarms) appears, tap Settings to open Android settings.

On the system screen (for example Alarms & reminders), find HIT Phone and turn on the requested options.

Return to HIT Phone; you will see the home / sign-up screen before entering SIP data — use the settings (gear) icon to finish the steps in the next section.

ID authentication, Push, STUN, ICE and IPv6

In HIT Phone Settings:

Fill ID authentication with only the extension number (e.g. 3500).

Enable Push, STUN and ICE:
- Push: lets the app run in the background and receive calls when the app is closed or another screen is active.
- STUN / ICE: help media negotiation on varied networks (NAT); keep them enabled as instructed by HIT.
Turn off IPv6 per your deployment guide (avoids issues on some networks).

With Push, STUN and ICE configured:

On the home screen, enter the data provided by HIT.

Main field definitions

User: prefix SIP plus the extension, no spaces. E.g. extension 3500 → SIP3500.
Password: SIP password for the extension from your administrator.
Domain: PBX IP (or hostname) including port. E.g. 177.107.XXX.XX:21694.

Background battery

To receive calls in the background, you must allow battery usage without aggressive power saving (per manufacturer screens). Otherwise the app may fail to ring or miss calls.
